Order: 

This medical directive provides authority to communicate an order to the Occupational Health Nurses (OHN’s) and/or seconded nurses to obtain a nasopharyngeal (NP) and/or throat swab for staff members of St. Joseph’s Health Care for the purpose of COVID screening.

Background:

All employees, persons with practicing privileges, contract workers, students and volunteers who carry on activities within St. Joseph’s Health Care London will have access to COVID 19 testing, specifically, nasal pharyngeal/throat swab, when deemed appropriate through Occupational Health and Safety Services.

For the purposes of this medical directive, these groups will be collectively referred to as staff members.
